In September 2011 Paul R. Fleischman will be visiting the Pacific Northwest of the USA and Canada and giving a series of conference presentations and public talks about Vipassana Meditation both to the general public and to professional groups.

Paul R. Fleischman practiced psychiatry for more than 30 years. He is also a Vipassana teacher under the guidance of S.N. Goenka. Dr. Fleischman has been asked by S.N. Goenka to explain Vipassana to professionals and others in the West.

Paul R. Fleischman is the author of various books, e.g. An Ancient Path; Cultivating Inner Peace; The Buddha Taught Non Violence, Not Pacifism; Karma and Chaos; and Spiritual Aspects of Psychiatric Practice. He has also published articles in a number of scholarly journals like Landscape, Nature and The Yale Review. He has been honoured by the American Psychiatric Association with the Oskar Pfister Award for outstanding contribution to the field of spirituality and medicine.

Paul R. Fleischman has been invited by various organisations to give lectures to professionals but also to the general public. These talks and lectures are an opportunity for those who are interested to get in contact with Vipassana Meditation.
